Commonly used terms on Surfer Dude Studios.
- Back end
- What goes on on the server that presents the content to the client.
- Digital video
- An electronic representation of moving visual images (video) in the form of encoded digital data.
- Front end
- The side of a website that is visible to its clients or users
- Full-stack development
- Development of digital products (apps, programs, websites etc) that requires a familiarity with all the layers required to deliver a product.
- Kayaking
- Floating on the ocean in a piece of carbon-fibre, wood or plastic.
- Surfing
- See Kayaking, but with less paddles, more standing up, and more falling in.
- User experience
- A person's emotions and attitudes about using a particular product, system or service.
- Web development
- A broad term for the work involved in developing a web site for the Internet (World Wide Web) or an intranet (a private network)
